Beautiful when Looking Down – Deep Plane Facelift

This is Dr. Nakao from Nakao Plastic Surgery.

Here, we asked the patient who we previously shared to look downward.

You can clearly see the traction in the platysma muscle.

In conventional Deep Plane Facelifts and Preservation Facelifts, the edge of the platysma muscle is pulled towards the outside.

However, for Asian patients with a small jaw, this approach may not always create a well defined facial contour.

At our clinic, we perform a lateral neck lift based on the composite flap technique developed by Dr. Pelle.

However, the difference in our approach is we perform this procedure from underneath the flap, while preserving the defining characteristics of preservation facelift.

In the case above, we added traction based on anatomical units, allowing us to create a strong and firm neck contour.
